Southern Hotel

The Southern Hotel was located at 41-43 E. Broadway St., which also included a café. Dinner, according to a 1904 advertisement, was 25 cents. On Dec. 21, 1902, a reporter from the Anaconda Standard noted that the hotel’s proprietor was Dan Tewey, who established his business in 1885. Tewey would later own a ranch in the Deer Lodge Valley and become a state senator.
