DILLON — Area residents will be treated to a free Christmas concert and sing-along at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 10, at the Old Depot Theater, 15 S. Montana St., Dillon.

The Ruby Range Band will accept donations to help with their costs, but according to band member, Geoff Roach , the band just wants to do the concert to “give back” to the community.

It doesn’t seem likely that a hospital would be the incubator for a musical group, but that seems to be the case with the Ruby Range Band where two of the members are employees of Barrett Hospital. These members include Roach, the human resources director, and Ben Power, the quality analyst. Janalee Bousman is a retired nurse, having been an emergency room nurse in the Midwest for most of her career.

Other joining the band include Ernie Gilbert from Sheridan and maybe a few of his Dillon Junior Fiddler friends.

The Ruby Range Band has roots in Rock, Soul and Gospel music and the program mixes traditional Christmas music with some newer carols. Details: www.rubyrangeband.com
