The Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives, 17 W. Quartz St., will continue its Brown Bag Lunch series at noon Thursday, Nov. 14, with a presentation by journalist Mike Dennison.
Dennison will speak about his new book, “Inside Montana Politics: A Reporter’s View from the Trenches,” which is a lively historical and personal look at major political figures and events he has covered during his 30-plus-year career as a reporter in Montana.
The book leads off with a chapter in Montana history of particular interest to Butte: The fall of Montana Power Co. in the wake of the deregulation debacle of the late 1990s and early 2000s). Dennison also includes chapters on Judy Martz — our only woman governor — as well as other governors, U.S. senators, and the 1991 riot at Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge.

Dennison is the chief political reporter for the Montana Television Network.
