DEER LODGE — Deer Lodge will host not one but two pre-St. Paddy’s Day events this coming weekend with the third annual St. Paddy’s Day Comedy Night at Cutler Bros. Theatre and the third annual “Blues and Brews” festival in the downtown area.
The Cutler Brother’s Comedy Night is the 41st produced in history and takes place at 8 p.m. Friday, March 15, while the Blues and Brews festival kicks off at Elk Ridge Brewery at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
Comedy Night takes the structure of Saturday Night Live and provides audiences with comedic sketches, a special guest host, and a musical guest. The host will be local hairdresser Jamie Roe and the musical guest is the hot, bluesy band Cottonwood. Sketches for the event include a spoof on “Restaurant Impossible,” “The St. Paddy’s Day Butte Parade,” the beloved Comedy Night News, and much more. Tickets are $12 and may be reserved by calling the box office at 406-846-4096. Visit cutlerbros.com for more details.
Cottonwood will also perform at the Blues and Brews festival on Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. at the Cutler Theatre.
Blues and Brews tickets are available at the Elk Ridge Brewery and John Montoya kicks off the event at 5 p.m. Each ticket purchased comes with a signature “3rd Annual Blues and Brews” pint glass as well as a drink token to the brewery and a drink token to Cutler Bros. Theatre, as well as access to the music. Tickets are $20 and may be picked up at the brewery. Call the brewery at 406-846-4650 for more details.
