The Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives will continue its Brown Bag Lunch series at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Butte Archives, 17 W. Quartz St., with a presentation about Superfund in Butte by Abby Peltomaa.
Peltomaa will share before and after pictures of the area documenting the clean-up processes of restoration and remediation. The talk will be an introduction to a viewing of the movie “Worth the Wait” at an upcoming Brown Bag Lunch.

Peltomaa was born and raised in Butte and has loved getting to know her community’s history better. She graduated from Butte High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Montana Tech and a Master's from the University of Montana.
Peltomaa works as the Superfund data specialist for Butte-Silver Bow and an adjunct faculty for the biology department at Montana Tech. She also serves on the board of directors for the Butte Archives.
Guests are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and water will be provided by the Archives. Brown Bag Lunches are held the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month. Details: 406-782-3280.
