The Montana Department of Corrections is seeking information about the whereabouts of Xander Matt, 19, and Francis Burke, 24, who reportedly walked away from the Butte Pre-Release Center, 62 W. Broadway St., without signing out.
The MDC issued a request for assistance locating the men on Friday. As of Saturday afternoon, they had not been found.
Matt was convicted of felony burglary in Lake County in November 2017. Burke was in MDC's custody for criminal endangerment.
Matt is 5 feet, 9 inches tall; weighs 150 pounds; and is Native American. He reportedly has various tattoos, including "PIRU" on his neck, "MATT" on the fingers of his left hand, brass knuckles, "5150 MOB" on his right hand, a 5-pointed star with the numeral 5 in the middle of his left hand, an eagle on his right arm, "Zaden Del Matt" on his lift arm, an AK-47 rifle on his left leg, a US flag on his right leg, and an arrow on his left wrist.
Burke is 5 feet, 10 inches tall; weighs 195 pounds, and is Native American. He has tattoos of a bear paw on his chest and of feathers on his upper left arm.
