Police arrested Natalie Rich, 32, of Butte at 10 a.m. Wednesday for possession of dangerous drugs, obstructing justice, and an out-of-jurisdiction warrant, all felonies, and for one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police were assisting parole and probation officers on the 1200 block of south Montana Street and said they found about 1.6 grams of methamphetamine and needles during a search. When officers arrived, Rich gave a false name, according to police.
Police arrested Tamara Forward, 27, of Butte at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday for forgery and criminal contempt, both misdemeanors. Forward allegedly tried to cash a check for $1,775 at Walmart. The check aroused suspicion because it reportedly had several erasures and alterations. When confronted, Forward fled the store, but police found her at Front and Utah, they said. Police also found a warrant for her arrest for criminal contempt.
Police arrested Cody Keller, 20, of Butte at 4:48 a.m. Thursday for two misdemeanors: aggravated DUI and careless driving. Keller allegedly struck a guard rail at Shields and Second, and a Breathalyzer test indicated he was double the legal limit for alcohol.
FIRST OFFENSE DUI
Police arrested Key Klungland, 24, of Butte at 2 a.m. Thursday at Park and Montana for DUI per se, which is a lesser count if the incident is a first offense, and also was stopped for failure to have lights on. Both are misdemeanors. Officers said they noticed Klungland driving without headlights on Park Street, pulled him over, and gave him a Breathalyzer test.
During a parole and probation search of Paul Giot, 39, of Butte at 2 p.m. Wednesday on the 500 block of South Colorado Street, officers arrested Giot for possession of drug paraphernalia because they found a glass pipe, scales, and syringes, they said.
FOUND WITH SYRINGE
Police booked Lindsey Kindt, 34, of Butte for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, at about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday. Officers said they found Kindt sitting in her car stopped in the middle of Silver Bow Boulevard and Monroe. Police said they found a syringe on Kindt.
