HOMELESS WOMAN PUNCHED

Butte police were called to the first block of West Park Street around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a disturbance. Police said that when they arrived, a woman was bleeding from her bottom lip said she had been standing around when another woman hit her. Police said they saw that woman, Tangee Jessen, 46, fleeing the area and arrested her for misdemeanor assault.

DRIVER SWITCHES SEAT

Officers patrolling near Harrison and Majors around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday recognized the driver of a vehicle, Steven Rule, 41, and made a traffic stop knowing he had a suspended license and had recently been arrested for a slow speed chase. Police said they saw Rule switch seats with his passenger, Caitlin Dreesen, 26, and told Rule they saw him driving. Rule was arrested for driving while suspended and without insurance and posted a $5,000 bond. Dreesen was arrested for two felony arrest warrants out of Lewis and Clark County for failure to appear in court and bail jumping.
