Simple assault

A 45-year-old man was arrested Tuesday evening for hitting a woman in the ribs and throwing his bike at a vehicle. The woman and man she was with called police earlier Tuesday to report Michael Berg, who was approaching children around South Warren Street on his bike and talking with them about drugs. The two adults told Berg to leave, which he did. However, Berg came back later and approached the adults again, striking the woman and throwing his bike. Officers noticed Berg leaving on his bicycle and arrested him for simple assault and criminal mischief.

Criminal mischief

Police arrested a Butte man in response to a call about an unruly client at an Uptown Butte business Tuesday morning. Sam Keller, 43, broke a glass door by slamming it shut around 10 a.m. Officers found Keller near the building and arrested him for criminal mischief.

Burglary

A man remodeling a house on West Woolman Street had tools worth $1,100 stolen Tuesday evening. The man was working outside of the house and went inside to find drills and other tools missing. There is no suspect at this time.

Tiffany Cummings was reported to police as an unwanted woman in Cinz Bar around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived, they located Cummings west of the bar and arrested her after finding the Oregon warrant.
  • A man with three warrants and a woman with one were arrested near Mandan Park Tuesday night. Police responded to a call about a suspicious van parked for several hours, where they found Jecica Holland in the driver’s seat and Carlos Martinez hiding under blankets in the back.
