Police arrested Cameron Mitchell, 53, of Butte at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 1200 block of East First Street for simple assault, a misdemeanor.
Mitchell allegedly got into a fist fight in the street, punching his boss, over a set of tools his former employer wanted Mitchell to return. Police were called because of multiple reports of possible gunshots in the area, but officers did not find weapons on Mitchell.
Police arrested George Gordon, 33, of Butte at about 10 p.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of West Quartz Street for aggravated DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Police began pursuit of Gordon at Granite and Montana streets because he ran a red light and lacked taillights, according to police. When Gordon stopped, he allegedly failed sobriety tests and blew over three times the legal limit during a Breathalyzer test. Officers also found a pipe to smoke marijuana, police said.
