Seven counts of privacy in communication
Police arrested a 35-year-old woman on Wednesday for allegedly sending over 1,000 text messages to a former boyfriend in mid-September.
At 3:45 p.m., officers received a call from St. James Healthcare to inform them Kristin Vinecke had left the hospital against their medical advice. Police located Vinecke in the area and brought her back to the hospital to be medically cleared. Officers discovered Vinecke had an arrest warrant for seven counts of privacy in communications, four of them felonies and the other three misdemeanors, and for stalking, a misdemeanor. The warrant stems from hundreds of text messages Vinecke sent to an ex-boyfriend over several days that police said were threatening, harassing, or contained obscenities.
Once Vinecke was medically cleared at the hospital, officers transported her to the detention center.
Evicted and arrested
Officers arrested two Butte residents while assisting in an eviction on Wednesday.
At 11:45 a.m., police reported to an apartment complex on the 900 block of Evans Street to help evict Stephanie Reychler, 22. Officers believed there was a wanted man in the residence with Reychler, but she reportedly denied it. After searching the apartment, police say they did find 29-year-old Benjamin Bryant, who was wanted for criminal contempt, hiding in the bedroom. Police cited Reychler for obstructing justice and transferred both to the detention center. They were released shortly after.
A couple was arrested for disorderly conduct on Wednesday.
According to police, they had reported to a residence on the 600 block of Washington Street several times over the past two days on disturbance calls. The disturbances were loud, verbal arguments between Danielle Fernandez, 22, and Jared Weldon, 24, that neighbors told police didn’t seem to stop. Officers reported to the residence around 9 a.m. and cited both Fernandez and Weldon for disorderly conduct misdemeanors. They were booked at the detention center and quickly released.
