ESCAPEE CAUGHT BY MARSHALS

U.S. Marshals arrested a convicted burglar around 10 a.m. Tuesday after he walked away from the Butte Pre-Release Center on April 10. Ryan Sitton, 28, was booked into the Butte jail for felony escape and has previous convictions for theft, burglary and drug possession. The details on the apprehension were not available.

MAN CAUGHT WITH DRUGS AND KNIFE

An inmate at the Butte jail told police he believed his car may have been stolen. Officers located the vehicle around midnight at Platinum and Montana and determined it had not been stolen. Inside the convenience store police found Timothy Atkins, 38, who said he had permission to drive the car. Police ran Atkins name and found he had two criminal contempt arrest warrants for skipping court. Police said they also found a concealed five-inch knife on Atkins, as well as two syringes and a small amount of meth. Atkins was booked for criminal contempt, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony drug possession.

WALMART DOMESTIC ABUSE

Police were called to Walmart around 5 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a man and a woman fighting. Police said witnesses told them Jade Anderson, 25, was aggressively spinning his girlfriend around by the hood of her sweater. When a bystander intervened, police said Anderson was aggressive with him. Security ejected Anderson from the store, and police arrested him by the outdoors section for partner/family member assault, disorderly conduct and criminal contempt for failure to appear in court.
