Drug sale intercepted
Police found 15 grams of methamphetamine in separate baggies, a scale and syringes while looking for Butte resident Dani Kunnary, 23, for violation of probation Tuesday. Police found Kunnary in the 10 block of Washington St. at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Kunnary was with a male, Donald Smith, 33, a Billings resident. Smith was also on probation and was traveling without a travel permit. Kunnary was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Smith was charged with possession with intent to sell, a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and parole violation.
Man goes to store, doesn’t come back
A woman lent her brand new car to a male friend, Anthony Fleming, 35, a Butte resident, at about 6 p.m. on Monday. The victim alleged Fleming was supposed to pick up some items for her from local stores and return. They spoke at about 9 p.m. that same evening but Fleming did not return the car. Police believe Fleming drove the vehicle to Missoula and then returned. Police found and arrested Fleming at about 12:46 p.m. Tuesday in the 3500 block of Warren Street. He was charged with driving without a valid license and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors. Police also issued a warrant for a second male who was also involved in taking the vehicle.

Cory Gustafson, 41, from Butte was charged with three counts of criminal contempt, misdemeanors, after an officer recognized him as a passenger in a car. The officer pulled the car over at about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Harrison Avenue. Gustafson was wanted for outstanding warrants. Police arrested Gustafson but allowed the driver to continue.
