Man caught trying to burglarize a home

A man apparently trying to burglarize a home in the 10 block of Redwood Drive at about 6 p.m. Wednesday was caught by home owners. Police found the suspect’s vehicle in Meadowlands Apartments’ parking lot at Elizabeth Warren Avenue. The man took off running from the building. He crossed a dirt mound and a field before jumping into a blue pickup on the interstate. Police believe the suspect flagged the truck down. Police identified items plainly in view inside the vehicle that were previously burglarized in a prior incident. Police are currently applying for a search warrant to search the suspect’s vehicle.

Kids’ argument sends one kid to juvenile court

Two children, one 9-year-old and one 13-year-old, got into a fight on the 200 block of Curtis Street at about 10 p.m. Wednesday. The children were at the residence of the 13-year-old’s grandmother. The 13-year-old assaulted the 9-year-old, according to police. The 13-year-old was given a notice to appear in juvenile court.

Hungry for ramen noodles

A 15-year-old was caught shoplifting a package of ramen noodles at Stokes Market at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police gave the teenager a citation to appear in juvenile court.

Failure to appear

Butte resident Rebecca Perkins, 42, was charged at about 5:40 p.m. for failure to appear in court on three previous warrants. Butte-Silver Bow police stopped Perkins at Main and Broadway because the officer recognized Perkins while running radar on Main and Quartz.
