March 07, 2013 1:00 am

Head coach: Tyler Bucklin

Overall record: 14-10

Roster — Seniors: Taylor Judisch; Juniors: Taryn Erickson, Hayley Orcutt, Makayla Barringer, Morgan VanDyke, Jayde Richardson, Paige Rauscher; Sophomores: Michaela DeBoo, Gabby Drishinski, Krista Judisch; Freshman: Emily Harwood.

Starters: Taylor Judisch, Morgan VanDyke, Hayley Orcutt, Jayde Richardson, Makayla Barringer.

Outlook: Second out of the Northern B, the Cowgirls have gotten hot at the right time according to coach Bucklin.

“We have really come together as a team at the end of the year and because of that team aspect we are playing our best

basketball at the right time,” he said. “The girls are also competitors so they like to get out there and mix it up.”

They aren’t the tallest team around, with not one player over 5-foot-10, so defending the post could become an issue against bigger clubs.

Fortunately, they open with a like-sized Florence-Carlton squad.

“I like the fact that we are pretty much the same size,” Bucklin said. “There won’t be any mismatches in our interior defense.”

Conrad will spread the floor in the attempt to attack driving lanes and exploit one-on-one situations, while defending teams well enough to force opportune mistakes.
