--A bus trip to Missoula, to watch the Grizzlies’ women’s basketball team take on Kentucky on Nov. 16 has been set up by the Butte GSA.
The cost of the trip is $30 per person includes admission to head football coach Bob Stitt’s radio show and a meet-and-greet with the coaching staff. Tickets for the basketball game are included, as well as access to the Sky Club.
The bus will leave at 3 p.m., and return to Butte after the game. Anyone interested is asked to call Moose Petritz at 490-8882 by noon on Friday.
--The Butte Community Ice rink at 1700 Wall St. will be open to the public on Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. through Nov. 19.
The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for kids. Skate rental is available for an additional $3 charge. Call 498-1877 for more information.
--The MAC Holiday Hoops Basketball Tournament will take place on Dec. 29 featuring girls and boys divisions.
The tournament is open to boys and girls in third through eighth grade. Divisions will be set up for third- and fourth-graders, fifth-graders, sixth-graders, seventh-graders, and eighth-graders. Teams will play at least three games.
The deadline to register for the one-day event is Dec. 15.
