• The 36th annual Jeanette Martinich Classic Invitational will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4, at Star Lanes, 4600 Harrison Ave., and is being held in conjunction with Queens and Senior Queens Montana qualifier. This is one of Montana’s largest women’s scratch tournaments with participants coming from several cities in Montana, Idaho, and Canada. All spectators are welcome.
The tournament will also determine the Montana Queens or Senior Queens advancer to the national tournament. To participate, bowlers must be a Montana Adult USBC Member and pay an additional $20.
The entry fee is $65 per bowler. This tournament is USBC certified. No professional bowlers allowed. Open to all female USBC members or female USBC youth members. Any youth participant placing in the prize list will be awarded a scholarship handled by the SMART program.
Star Lanes will host two qualifying rounds Saturday with starting times at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Finals will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday. There will also be 50-50 drawings and numerous prizes Saturday night.

• The Anaconda AOH St. Patrick’s race will be held Saturday, March 10. The entry fee is $25, or $30 the day of the race. The annual event includes 3- and 6-mile races. Walkers are welcome to join in the 3-mile event.
Preregistered packet and T-shirt pickup is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the AOH Hall or on race day at the Anaconda Elks Lodge.
On the day of the race, participants will meet by 10:30 a.m. at the Locker Room, 117 E. Park St., Anaconda. Race runs regardless of weather conditions. For details, race application, and online registration, visit www.anacondaaoh.com.
