-- On Friday, Oct. 6, Butte Central will host the blue and gold day in honor of St. Lawrence Grade School. Faculty and students are invited to wear blue and gold to school on Friday and then to the football game against the Hamilton Broncs. Blue and gold merchandise can be ordered from the Butte Central Foundation office.
All students, faculty, and families are invited to a barbecue before the game at Alumni Coliseum. Cost for the barbecue is $6.00, which includes a meal and a soft drink. The event begins at 5:45 p.m.
--Try Hockey Day for girls interested in the sport will be hosted this Sunday at the ice rink from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please call 490-3234 to RSVP and for more details
--The Anaconda Celebrations United Veterans will host the Stars and Stripes Dart Tournament on Oct. 7. Sign up begins at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. the day of the tournament. Competition starts at 10:30 a.m. and there is a $20.00 entry fee. The tournament will be held at VFW and the Paradis Bar. For more information call Derrick at 560-2664 or Dan at 559-0512.
--The Butte-Silver Bow Parks and Recreation Department is accepting teams for the 2017 women’s volleyball league. The league runs from Oct. 16 - to Dec. 18. All games will be played at the Butte Civic Center annex.
Registration costs are $75.00 per team. The deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 6.
Roster forms are available online at co.silverbow.mt.us or at the Parks and Recreation Office in the Butte Civic Center between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Players must sign the Roster Form and the Recreation Activity Release Form before play starts.
Adult Co-Ed volleyball will begin in January 2017.
