The Jefferson wrestling team found success in the higher weight classes, but couldn't make up enough ground in falling to Eureka, 48-30, in the championship of the Class B-C Duals at Great Falls Central on Saturday.
The Panthers got wins via pin from heavyweight and 205-pounder Dakota Dorn, but their only other contested victory in the dual was from 138-pounder Jacob Travis — also by pin.
Jefferson previously knocked off Huntley Project in the semifinals, 42-36, and had early wins over Townsend (42-33) and Conrad (66-12).
Jefferson County actually had two teams in the semifinals, where Whitehall fell to Eureka, 49-21. The Trojans then settled for fourth after falling to Huntley, 50-22, in the third-place match.
Anaconda and Deer Lodge lost their only duals.
Butte High 7th at AA Duals

The Bulldogs opened the day with a resounding 48-12 win over Glacier, but suffered a slim 32-27 loss to Sentinel in the quarterfinals. Butte then fell to Skyview, 53-15, to secure their spot in the seventh-place match.
Bozeman won the title with a hard-fought 34-29 win over Kalispell Flathead in the championship dual.
