The Dillon wrestling team finished 0-5, and Butte Central went 0-2 on a tough Day 1 of the Class A Duals in Lewistown on Friday.

The Beavers fell to Hardin (61-9), Billings Central (44-36), Havre (66-9), Hamilton (54-36) and Ronan (60-14).

Dillon's Brent Tezak, Class A's top-ranked wrestler at 160 pounds, finished a perfect 4-0 in contested matches on the day. He had a pair of pins, but also edged Hardin's Conner Schwend, 10-7, and Havre's Mason Dionne, 5-4.

Cooper Hoffman was Dillon's other multi-match winner, finishing 3-2 on the day. All three of his victories came by pin.

Butte Central, fielding just two wrestlers, fell to Stevensville (54-6) and Glendive (60-6).

Clay Stillwagon picked up Central's only win at 138 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Stevensville's Tristan Riel.

Action resumes in Lewistown on Saturday.
