Whitehall wide receiver Wyatt Alexander had a senior season to remember as he became the second all-time leading receiver in Montana high school history with 2767 career receiving yards.

The senior will have one more memory to make next summer.

Alexander, along with over a dozen other local football players, was named to the West Team roster for the 72nd Montana East-West Shrine Game. The game will be played in Great Falls on July 21, 2018.

The West Team will be coached by Helena Capital's Kyle Mihelish, a former Montana Western football player.

The East Team will be led by Levi Wesche of Bozeman High. Wesche played college football for MSU-Northern.

Alexander — who hauled in 67 receptions for 1441 and 19 touchdowns as the Class B Trojans charged to an 11-0 record before falling to Shelby in the semifinals — will be joined by fellow Trojans Dawson Hoerauf, a guard, and Braden Smith who will be an outside linebacker for the alternates squad.

Both Alexander and Smith will continue their football careers at Montana Tech.

Two Butte High players earned spots on the roster. Greyson Mandic will play tackle and Corbin Walker will be a defensive tackle alternate.

The Class A Beavers' season ended with a 38-22 loss to Sidney in the playoff quarterfinals. It was the first time in six seasons that Dillon didn't finish its season in the championship game.
