The Montana Western football team will look to shake off last weekend's tight loss to No. 11 Eastern Oregon when it hosts No. 23 Southern Oregon at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Dillon.

The Bulldogs (4-4, 3-4 Frontier), who fell out of the NAIA Top 25 after last week's loss, saw what had been the league's leading rushing attack held to 37 yards while giving up 398 total yards to the Mountaineers.

The Raiders (4-4, 4-3) could present an even bigger challenge, with quarterback Jack Singler leading the nation's fifth-ranked passing attack at over 345 yards per game. Wideout Matt Retzlaff leads the NAIA with 9.3 catches per game for over 128 yards.

Western's defense could be up to the task, having allowed just 20.9 points per game — trailing only first-place Tech. SOU's defense is allowing an average of 34.4 points — only last-place MSU-Northern has allowed more.
