Noteworthy: Carroll enters Thursday’s contest against the Orediggers on a five-game winning streak, including a 58-56 overtime win against Rocky Mountain College on Tuesday in Helena. … Carroll knocked off the two highest ranked teams in the conference last week, and then took down Rocky, which was tied with Carroll atop the standings. … Michaela Dowdy stepped up as teams focued their energies on shutting down Hannah Dean. … Dowdy scored 21 points against Rocky, including a sharp 9-for-10 effort at the free-throw line. … Dean still leads the Saints in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks per game. … Carroll got an up-close glimpse of Tech earlier this winter as the Orediggers played in the PE Center against the University of Calgary. … Tech defeated Carroll 3-1 last season, capping it off with a 78-64 win in the Frontier tournament. … Tech is coached by former Saints player and coach Carly Sanon. … She started for the Saints for three years and was an assistant coach for eight seasons in Helena.

Saints coach Rachelle Sayers on Tech: "I know they're sitting at home waiting for us. Some of these midweek games are advantage to some and disadvantage to others. This happens to be our week. There's not much we can do about it but get rested and start preparation tonight (Tuesday). We're going to watch film and get a head start. They play hard. They play really fast. They're a team that's going to try to cause a lot of chaos offensive and defensively. We're going to have to do a better job of staying in front of players and making sure we limit them to one shot. Really, we have to limit their second chance opportunities. They have two posts that rebound extremely well on the offensive end and so do their guards . We've got to get them back into a half-court game and limit them to one shot as much as we can."
