The day after winning the conference championship, Carroll College men's basketball coach Carson Cunningham and senior forward Ryan Imhoff were picked as the Frontier Conference Coach and Player of the Year.

The Saints defeated Montana Western 79-65 to win the Frontier after splitting the regular season title. It was the second consecutive postseason championship for Carroll College.

Cunningham and Imhoff helped the Saints finish Frontier play with a 27-5 record.

Imhoff led the conference in points per game (19.6) and steals (2.5), which also ranked No. 3 in the NAIA. The senior from Napa, California, led his team in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks per game.

Rocky Mountain College sophomore forward Jared Samuelson earned the nod as the Newcomer of the Year. The University of Montana transfer and Billings native led the Battlin’ Bears in scoring with 18.8 points per game, which was the second highest total in the conference.

Providence guard Sergio Berkley earned the Sixth Man of the Year. Berkley came off the bench 23 times for the Argonauts and averaged 11 points in an average of 22 minutes of play.

Montana State-Northern center Ryan Reeves repeated as the Frontier Defensive Player of the Year. Reeves finished the year with the most blocks in the NAIA with 104. His blockage rate of 3.4 per game ranked No. 2 in the NAIA. The 6-foot-10 senior from Alaska clogged the paint and altered many shots he didn’t block.

Lewis-Clark State College guard Damek Mitchell earned the Freshman of the Year award. Mitchell appeared in 31 games for the Warriors, scoring 7.3 points per game and becoming the team’s second best distributor with 2.4 assists per game.

Montana Western landed two Bulldogs on the first-team all-conference list, with senior guard Dom Robinson and sophomore forward Zaccheus Darko-Kelly.
