• At Flagstaff, Ariz., Case Cookus threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns and caught a pass for another score as Northern Arizona stunned previously unbeaten and seventh-ranked Illinois State 37-16. 

• At Grand Forks, N.D., Keaton Studsrud threw for 248 yards and a touchdown, Travis Toivonen ran for two scores, and North Dakota edged Northern Colorado 48-38 to end a three-game skid before a Homecoming crowd.

• At Cedar City, Utah, Patrick Tyler threw for 223 yards and a touchdown and Southern Utah rolled to a 20-14 victory over winless Cal Poly.

• At Dillon, quarterback Bennett Gibson’s 5-yard touchdown run with less than two minutes remaining gave Montana Western a stunning 42-35 win over No. 5-ranked and previously unbeaten Montana Tech. Gibson passed for three touchdowns and ran for two scores for the Bulldogs (3-3, 3-2), who scored twice in the fourth quarter to rally against the reigning two-time Frontier champions. Gibson finished 22 of 38 passing for 365 yards. He was intercepted once. Oredigger quarterback Quinn McQueary was 30 of 42 passing for 302 yards and was intercepted three times. Jed Fike added 122 yards rushing for Montana Tech (4-1) on 28 carries. Hunter Thomsen led the Bulldogs with 117 yards rushing on 22 attempts.

• At Helena, Nick Calzaretta ran for two touchdowns as College of Idaho shut down Carroll College 21-6. Calzaretta had touchdown runs of 1 and 20 yards. C of I quarterback Darius-James Peterson also ran for a score. Major Ali led the Saints with 98 yards and a touchdown. Carroll finished with just 103 yards passing.

• At Moscow, Idaho, Andre Nunez hooked up with Ja'Marcus Bradley for a 45-yard touchdown early in the third quarter and the Louisiana defense stopped Idaho on downs at the 30 with 1:47 to play to preserve a 21-16 win.
