OGDEN, Utah — The Big Sky Conference men's and women's basketball tournaments are moving to Boise, Idaho, according to various reports.
Sources in Boise said the league will conduct a video press conference Monday to make the announcement. The Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada, has been the tournament site the last two seasons and will remain as host again this March.
Boise will take over hosting rights beginning with the 2019 tournament. The tournament will reportedly be held at 5,300-seat CenturyLink Arena.
Before 2016, the regular-season champions hosted the tournaments. Moving to a neutral site enabled the league to include all member schools in the tournaments.
Billings was a finalist for the men's tournament in 2016.
The video press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday and is available to stream on WatchBigSky.com. It can also be viewed on Pluto TV.
