The Butte Central Cheer Camp scheduled for Saturday is still currently accepting applications for registration. The camp is set for 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Montana Dance Works, 3105 Harrison Ave. The participants of the cheer camp will perform in between the JV and Varsity boys' basketball game at the MAC later on Saturday. Cost is $35.

The Butte Trap Club located in the industrial park will be open for practice beginning Sunday, Feb. 3rd at noon. For more information phone 494-4986.

Butte American Legion baseball will hold final signups for the 2013 season on Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 7 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Legion Oasis Hall located at 3400 Hill Ave. Player contracts, registration and Super Bowl 50/50 money can be turned in. Open gym will start Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Butte High school gym, players must have turned in player contract and registration in order to attend, for more information contact Mike Semmens at 490-4202.

The City of Billings Chamber of Commerce is hosting the second annual Trailhead basketball tournament, held at Billings Senior High School that will take place on Mar. 16-17.

It will feature boys and girls teams grades 4-8. There will be a minimum of four teams in each division with a maximum of eight. Each team will be guaranteed three games, two pool-play games followed by a single elimination tournament. Champions of each division will be presented with an award. Tournament fee is $185. The City Doubles Handball Tournament will start Feb. 11 at the Elks.

Players can sign up at the Elks or call 490-8668.

The deadline is Feb 8.

The KCAC four-man basketball spring league will start Monday, Feb. 4 at the KCAC gym. The season will last 10 weeks with a tournament to follow. Two different leagues will be offered. Teams can sign up daily after 3 p.m. at the K.C. Hall. For more information on the league, contact Dan Boyle at 565-7947.

n Rosters are now being accepted for Butte Silver Bow’s mixed volleyball leagues. They may be picked up at the Butte Civic Center and they have to be returned with the entry fee of $70 to the main Civic Center office. The first twenty-four rosters returned with fees will make up the two leagues. League play will begin as soon as enough rosters are turned in, all matches will be played on Mondays.

Teams will play eight to nine games followed by a single-elimination tournament.

The Wulfman’s Frigid Digger Run — an event held regardless of the weather — starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, west of Montana Tech, featuring either 3- or 7-mile runs. Walkers are welcome in the 3-mile event only. Entry fee is $5 for ages 14 and under and $15 for ages 15 and over, and includes a long sleeved T-shirt and refreshments. Registration is $20 after Feb. 11, and T-shirts are not guaranteed after this date. Pre-registration and packet pick-up will be held Friday, Feb. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Best Western Butte Plaza Inn, or race day registration will be held at the Montana Tech HPER complex lobby from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
