Trump making a mockery of the United States
Dr. Mr. Trump,
If your goal when elected president was to divide this country, you have succeeded.
If your goal was to bring hatred and anger to the forefront, you have succeeded.
If your goal was to revert this country back to the hostilities of the ’50s and ’60s, you have succeeded.
If your goal was to make the rich richer and the poor poorer, you have succeeded.
If your goal was to make the U.S. the laughing stock of the world, you have succeeded.
If your goal was to offend every gender, race and religion in the entire world, you have succeeded.
If your goal was to make enemies with every country, you have succeeded.
If your goal was to change the name of this country from “United States” to “Divided States,” you have succeeded.
With all that is going on in this world and the responsibilities at your desk, all you can focus on are the NFL players expressing their first amendment right? Mr. Trump, you are not the “big man on campus” you think you are. You are nothing but a bigot and a bully, set on making a mockery of this country. In due time, your arrogance will be sending this country to war but it won’t be the blood of your children that will be shed. It will be the blood of OUR sons and daughters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, mothers and fathers. And for what? To defend you because you refuse to act like a leader and make peace your ultimate goal.
For a brief moment, I was tempted to take down the American flag I have hanging outside my home because I was so embarrassed by you, our president, but then I remembered I do not display my flag for you. I display it for the people who fought and died, who lost limbs and sometimes their sanity, to give us the freedoms we tend to take for granted. I fly the flag in honor of our troops, past, present and future and I will continue to do so until all of our troops come home safely.
Despite what you have done, or shall I say undone, in the few months you have been in office, I am still a proud citizen of this country and I will continue to display my flag in spite of your so called leadership.
