A 33-year-old woman with a Butte address died in a single-vehicle rollover Monday night on Interstate 90 near Deer Lodge.
A 35-year-old Missoula man was also injured in the crash. He was taken by helicopter to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
The wreck occurred around 7:10 p.m. near Deer Lodge, when a westbound Chevrolet drifted into the median, said Montana Highway Patrol Capt. Gary Becker. The driver over-corrected, causing the vehicle to roll. The man and woman were both ejected.
It's unclear whether the man or the woman was driving the pickup, Becker said.
The woman was declared dead at the Deer Lodge Medical Center, he said.
The pickup is registered to a resident of Anaconda-Deer Lodge County, Becker said.
Police did not release the names of the victims, pending notification of family.
The crash is under investigation, police said.
