DANCE AT ELKS
The John Fox Sound will play for a dance from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Anaconda Elks Lodge. Dance to music from the big band era, polka, swing, Latin and waltzes. Admission is $10.
UM WESTERN PLAYS
The University of Montana Western Fine Arts Department, as part of the 2017-18 Bank of Commerce Performing Arts Series, presents two plays: “Proof” and “Doubt.” The performances will be held Feb. 22-26, in the Beier and Small Auditoriums on the Montana Western campus. “Proof” by David Auburn, follows the life of Catherine, a loyal daughter and her brilliant, but less-than-sane, mathematician father. Performance times are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26, in the Beier Auditorium. “Doubt: A Parable” by John Patrick Shanley, is directed by Montana Western student Katie Bumgarner. Performance times are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25, and 1 p.m. on Feb. 26, in the Small Auditorium. Tickets for each show are $8 general admission and $5 youth (recommended for adults only due to language and mature themes). Montana Western students are admitted free of charge. Season tickets are $40 and are available at the door or by calling 406-683-7101.
FUN IN WISDOM
The Big Hole Valley’s annual Winterfest/Skijoring event continues Sunday. The event envelops the town of Wisdom, as riders and skiers fly along the course at the small town’s airport. Enjoy exciting contests for beginners and seasoned skiers and snowboarders alike. There is plenty of parking, food, beverage, and libations available during the event.
