There are strange goings-on at the Wayside School.

The children are expected to play the "snorple" and "mooglatch" and climb the 29 floors to their 30th-floor classroom. You'll find your mind racing as they attempt to count to 100 - alphabetically.

Mrs. Kidswatter is having a hard time keeping a teacher in their class. A tornado, tango and teacher transformation engage the audience as the students wonder: Are they being haunted by Mrs. Gorf, or someone even more sinister?

Upbeat music and vivid colors set the tone for "Sideways Stories from Wayside School," based on the beloved book series by Louis Sachar. Individual characters populate this vibrant and sometimes startling world as nearly 20 local children working on and off stage bring this jaunty spectacle to life.

Careening through the topsy-turvy world of Wayside School, the children manage to learn lessons about resilience and believing in themselves.

It's perfect family entertainment for the Halloween season.
