MSU professor to talk politics

The Butte-Silver Bow Democrats Burros Club will have a luncheon at noon Wednesday, March 7, at the Butte Country Club, 3400 Elizabeth Warren Ave.

Guest speaker will be Joan Hoff, Montana State University research professor of history. She is a Butte native, the former CEO and president of the Center for the Study of the Presidency in New York City, and a former history professor and director of the Contemporary History Institute at Ohio University. Her topic will be “How Americans Lost Faith in the Presidency.”

Ladies AOH plan celebratory dinner

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians will meet Tuesday, March 13, in the community room of The Springs.

In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Reuben sandwiches, soup, and desserts will be served. The cost is $10, and reservations are due by Tuesday, March 6, by calling Deanna at 406-782-4435, Jules at 406-723-3514, or Denise at 406-782-0192.

Following the dinner, a brief meeting will be held, and new members will be installed.

Event celebrates women

An International Women's Day celebration begins at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at the Butte Plaza Mall.
