ACLU rep to give presentation
ANACONDA — The Anaconda Coalition for Tolerance Education is hosting an indigenous civil rights lecture at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at the Hearst Free Library, 401 Main St., Anaconda.
Guest speaker will be Meg Singer, indigenous outreach coordinator for ACLU of Montana.
Montana Tech hosts spring fairs
Join us on the Montana Tech campus in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Complex to take part in the Montana Tech Spring Fair. This career fair runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28. Following the career fair, employers have the opportunity to conduct face-to-face interviews on Thursday, March 29.
The career fair, hosted by Career Services, is designed to offer organizations from all industries a chance to discuss career opportunities and to share career development information with Montana Tech students of all academic levels and majors – from freshman to graduate students. Employers will be able to recruit for part-time, full-time, and internship positions as well as other positions needed within their organizations.
In addition, the seventh annual Montana Tech Spring Volunteer Fair will be held in conjunction with the career fair. This will give local organizations an opportunity to connect with students and fill volunteer positions.

Garden club meets Wednesday
The Butte Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Butte Archives, 17 W. Quartz St. The front doors open at 6:40 and lock for security at 7:15 p.m.
There will be two speakers. Butte's new MSU Extension Agent, Kellie Kahtani, who specializes in nutrition will center her remarks on preserving the vegetables and fruits from your garden. Kathleen Humpa is Butte's new arborist. She will talk about Butte's urban forest. There will also be a 25-minute video that addresses the benefits of an urban forest.
