Book club meets next week
Butte Public Library book club meets at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at 226 W. Broadway St.
This month’s reading is “The Refugees” by Viet Thanh Nguyen. Copies are available for check out from the circulation desk on the first floor. Avid readers are encouraged to join in for a lively conversation about this interesting book.

Toastmasters name winners
Top O’ the Mornin’ Toastmasters weekly winners included Lorri DePlazes, best speaker, and Joe McBride, best topic respondent.
The next meeting will be held at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Perkins. Guests are welcome.

Tech to host religious forum
A forum, “Can a Scientist Believe in God?” will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the Montana Tech Auditorium.
Cullen Blue, a mechanical engineering professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will be the featured speaker. He will talk about the relationship between science and faith. The event will be moderated by Jack Skinner, a Montana Tech professor.
A reception will follow. The event is sponsored by Montana Tech Catholic Campus Ministry.
