A man who ran naked through a neighborhood in subzero temperatures Saturday apparently had been with a woman in a nearby home — when the duo was interrupted by the man of the house.
“He hastily retreated from the place without his clothes,” Sheriff Ed Lester said.
The nude dude knocked on the door of a nearby home on the 1700 block of Wall Street at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday. He told the homeowner, Nate Yakawich, he was being chased by a man with a gun.
Lester said the man in the buff told officers a man armed with a knife was after him. No man with a weapon was located.
The naked man had run to Yakawich’s house and started banging on the front door and frantically ringing the doorbell. Yakawich said he opened the door to find “a guy that is just buck naked holding his crotch.”
Yakawich said the situation “was a little past my crazy meter,” adding that he handed the man sweatpants, a sweatshirt and a blanket.
Police reports did not indicate if the man was reunited with his own pants. He apparently didn’t rejoin his lady friend either.
“Everyone went their separate ways,” Lester said.
No charges have been filed regarding the antics.
