STOLEN ATV RECOVERED
Police arrested Jessica Smith, 20, of Butte on the 1700 block of Wall Street at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of possession of stolen property and four criminal contempt warrants, all misdemeanors.
Police were called about a complaint of an all-terrain vehicle blocking an alley. When police arrived, they found Smith and Skyler Reinke, 21, of Butte, according to police. Police said the ATV had been reported as stolen on Oct. 16 from a home on Grizzly Trail Road in Rocker.
Police arrested Reinke for a misdemeanor out-of-jurisdiction warrant. According to police, they returned the ATV to the owner.
Police assisted probation and parole officers in searching a residence on the 600 block of South Idaho Street at about 4 p.m. Wednesday and found drugs and drug paraphernalia, they said. Police arrested Alexander Montoya, 31, homeless, and booked him on felony possession of dangerous drugs and two misdemeanors, possession of drug paraphernalia and a criminal contempt warrant.
Police also arrested Jack Evers, 36, of Butte, who was also in the residence, for a misdemeanor possession of dangerous drugs.
Police stopped Dustin Woody, 22, of Butte at Second and Atlantic at about 3 p.m. Wednesday because they recognized him and knew there were outstanding warrants for him. Police booked Woody for misdemeanor criminal contempt plus driving on a suspended license, no liability insurance, and displaying plates assigned to another vehicle, all misdemeanors.
