Police Reports

GETTING HIS WISH

Kimberly Christine Collins, 46, of Butte, was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly dumping a male passenger onto the street when she took a sharp turn onto Santa Claus Road. Police responded to an area near Centennial Avenue and Santa Claus around 10:50 p.m. and found the two arguing. The man said he opened the door of the vehicle when it was moving — wanting to get out — and got his wish when Collins took an abrupt turn. He didn’t want police to do anything but officers said Collins was drunk, which a Breathalyzer confirmed. She was booked for misdemeanor DUI and was released a short time later after posting $1,085 bond.

A LOT OF WEED

Police recognized a man wanted for outstanding warrants walking near the Knights of Columbus Hall on West Park Street late Tuesday morning and stopped him. They say Shane Christopher McManamon, 29, of Butte, also had three bags of marijuana on him that weighed in at 90 grams. That’s a felony amount so he was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and two complaints of misdemeanor contempt for the warrants out of Butte City County. No bond had been set as of Wednesday morning.

NOT SO FAST

Police saw a man on a Harley Davidson spin the wheels and peel away from Spud McGee’s bar on South Main Street at a high speed late Tuesday night. They followed Mark Steven Spolar, 35, of Butte, to the area of Platinum and Gold, where the bike skidded and came to a stop. He was taken to the Butte jail, where he blew over the legal limit and was booked for misdemeanor DUI. He was later released after posting $685 in bond.
