Butte Justice Court

Ray D. Wilson, 55, of Butte was charged Thursday with felony criminal endangerment, and misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and failure to show proof of insurance third offense. Court records say Wilson was driving drunk at a high rate of speed about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday and almost hit a child and a parked vehicle in the 900 block of South Wyoming. Justice Ben Pezdark set Wilson’s bond at $25,000 and remanded him to jail.

Butte District Court

George Fode, 37, of Butte was sentenced to 13 months with the Montana Department of Corrections Thursday, and given a five-year suspended sentence to the Montana State Prison. He pleaded guilty to felony driving under the influence and criminal endangerment. Fode was arrested the evening of Feb. 17, 2012, after he allegedly drove intoxicated and erratically on Interstate 90 with his wife, two young children and another child in the car, according to charging documents.

Roy Nelson, 40, of Butte was given a 90-day deferred sentence and ordered to pay $742 in restitution Thursday. He was arrested in September on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, carrying a concealed handgun, reckless driving, no plates and eluding a police officer for allegedly leading officers on a chase. Police say he tried to elude them on an ATV and ran over several fences in Butte.

Butte Police Reports

A blue 18-speed bike with a trailer were reported stolen Wednesday evening after the victim parked it outside the Safeway off of Massachusetts.

A 2008 Suzuki motorcycle was recovered Wednesday morning after someone attempted to steal it Tuesday evening. Police found the motorcycle in an alley in the 1000 block of Colorado Street, a few blocks from where it was stolen.
