June 8, 1960-Jan. 28, 2018
Pamela Jayne Stauss passed away Sunday morning in St. James Healthcare. She was born Wednesday, June 8, 1960 in Gardena, California to Wendall B. and Eleanor (Trumpler) Stauss. She was raised in Butte, attending Central Elementary, West Junior High and Butte High School. She worked at Truzzolino’s, ran a food truck at ASMI, and worked at Room 71 and the Fifth Quarter Lounge before her disability.
Also known as Trixie Van-Blo, Pamela and her “sisters” played on several pool and dart leagues around town. She loved catching performances by all of Butte’s local bands and shortened her “Bucket List” by one huge notch in 2009 by attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Pam loved being a grandmother and treasured her grandson. Halloween was her favorite holiday, the red rose her favorite flower. She always had her nails painted and her hair done. She loved road trips, taking her dad dancing, socializing at a local watering hole, playing ball, pool and darts or just relaxing at home. She celebrated life with her family and friends any way she could.
She is survived by her sons, Wendell “Scooter” Stauss and Andrew Stauss, both of Butte; her grandson, Bryant W. Stauss; her brother, Roy Stauss, also of Butte; and two godchildren, Michael Park and Barbara Parke. Also surviving are her friends by faith but sisters by choice, the “Van-Blo” sisters, Carol, Dar, Deb, Eva, Julie, Connie, Rhonda and Pamy and her dear friend, Linda.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her friends, Tracy Ozanne Corneil and Tom Stark.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place Friday afternoon, starting at 1 o’clock at the Park Street Party Palace. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Express condolences at www.wayrynen-richards.com.
