March 3, 1945-Jan. 23, 2018
Judith Driscoll McDonald was born March 3, 1945 in Butte, Montana. She was the second of 10 children of Maurice and Margaret (Moran) Driscoll. Judy passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in Hawaii after a brave battle against pancreatic cancer.
During the fall of 1972, Judy visited Seeley Lake, Montana and met Bill McDonald. They married in 1975 at Seeley Lake and were inseparable for the next 43 years. They had two children and raised their family in Missoula. In retirement, Judy and Bill travelled extensively around the world; when they weren’t travelling, they could be found at Seeley Lake or Hawaii.
Judy had an inquisitive mind and enjoyed a lifetime of learning. She attended Girls Central High School in Butte, Catholic University of America in Washington DC, and received her MD from the University of Hawaii. She practiced medicine and genuinely loved her profession.
Judy will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her. She leaves behind her husband, Bill McDonald; her two children, Bill and his wife Alli and LeeAnn and her husband Trey; and three grandsons, Will, Chip and Blake. Judy also leaves behind eight Driscoll siblings, Robbie O’Leary and husband Dennis, Jim Driscoll and wife Clare, Janice Nugent and husband Jim, Mike Driscoll, Geri Driscoll, Jean Larson and husband Rick, Joan Tracy and husband Mike, Larry Driscoll and wife Maureen, and 19 nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Her youngest brother Steve Driscoll died in June 2017.
A celebration of her life will be held this summer at Seeley Lake.
Please let her kindness inspire you.
