One of her co-workers is quoted as saying “so many memories working with her on “nights”, she taught me all the integrity, respect, and the true meaning of being a caring nurse. There are so many blessings she gave me and others”. Nursing was her true calling--she would volunteer her time to provide special care to patients and make sure they got all they needed even if it meant paying for it with her own money. Nita gave loving care to her patients and took great pride in providing grief counseling to her hospice families. Nita also volunteered as a Crisis Response Line and Guardian Ad Litem in Anaconda for many years. Nita had several hobbies to include visiting with her friends, walking, camping, crocheting, playing bingo; however, her favorite pastime was playing pinochle with her besties and Grambling with Mariah and Mikala.
