April 14, 1950-Oct. 8, 2017

James M. Leyden passed away on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, after a brief battle with a descending aortic aneurysm and congestive heart failure.

Jim, more fondly known as “Whisky”, was born to James E. and Joyce (Merrifield) Leyden in Butte, Montana on April 14, 1950.

Jim married the love of his life, Annette Fay Schofield on Aug. 24, 1984. They had 32 happy years together before Annette passed in April 2016. Jim loved his Harley’s. He rode every day he could even into the winter. He was a true biker. His riding was his therapy after the loss of his beloved wife Annette. Jim enjoyed shooting pool and visiting with his friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

He is survived by sisters, Kathy (Tony) Jangula of Walkerville and Julee Henson of Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Christine (Tom) Manske; brothers-in-law, John (Ruth) Schofield and Andre’ (Linda) Schofield, all of Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. Jim had a large extended family of wonderful friends. Thank you to Brock Daniels for your companionship, care and worry for Jim, especially since Annette passed.
