Grace Ann Ueland passed away in the loving arms of her parents on Jan. 26, 2018, as a result of a heart complication due to Edwards Syndrome.
She was born Jan. 25, 2018 at 6:22 p.m. During her sweet 16 hours on earth, Grace blessed her family with smiles, coos and treasured moments that will forever live on in their hearts. Grace also reminded her family to love fiercely, support one another unconditionally, live in the present, and to choose joy in every moment, big or small. A tiny, but mighty little girl, she defied the odds that were set before her and left an imprint on the hearts of those who were blessed to have been impacted by her.
Grace is the beloved daughter of Matt and Brett Ueland and the younger sister of Eleanor “Ellie” Ueland.
She is survived by her maternal grandparents, Bruce and Pam Mihelish of Florence, Montana, and aunts, Aaron Mihelish and Drew Mihelish of Missoula Montana; paternal grandparents, Don and Sheila Ueland of Butte, Montana, and aunts and families, Mollie, John, Emma, Mia, Jack Keeley of Butte, Montana; Mandi, Joe, Kellen, Konnor, Anna Klimpel of Frenchtown, Montana; and Krissy, John, Brooklyn, Ryan Graham of Bozeman, Montana; and numerous extended family members including great-grandmothers, Sara Hilger and Marge Mihelish of Helena, Montana.
Grace was greeted in Heaven by loving paternal great-grandparents Ole and Eleanor Ueland, and Mick and Helen Paffhausen; maternal great-grandfathers, Don Hilger and Frank Mihelish; and her great-uncles, Harry Hartz, Tom Hilger and Duane Noel, whom is surely planning their first fishing trip.
Grace’s parents would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Father Beretta and Deacon McCarthy for their continuous prayer, blessing, and support during this journey. A sincere thank you to Dr. McLaughlin and Dr. Schulte along with their staff and the nurses at Community Hospital of Anaconda, Dusty, Angie and Amy. Their guidance and support will always be cherished. They each treated Grace and her parents with compassion and dignity, and the entire family will be forever grateful. Also, thank you to Dr. Holbrook and Dr. Sticka along with their staff at Community Hospital of Missoula for their expertise and guidance.
