July 12, 1949-Nov. 5, 2017
Donna E. Riley, 68, passed away on Nov. 5, 2017 after losing a tough battle with cancer.
Donna was born July 12, 1949 in Butte, Montana. She was the 10th of 12 children born to Forest A. and Bertha R. (Shafer) Riley.
She attended schools in Argenta and Butte.
On Dec. 26, 1967 she married Frank Beckman and together they had three children. They divorced many years later.
Donna was an adventurous and inspirational woman. She enjoyed everything that life in Montana had to offer. As a child she spent her summers in Argenta with her mother and siblings.
She loved to go fishing, camping, and appreciating all that Mother Nature has to offer. In fact, she found so much inspiration in the great outdoors that it influenced much of the amazing artwork she did.
Her art inspired everyone, but especially those closest to her.
She loved pictures of family and friends and sharing those photos. She was a giving woman who didn’t ask for anything in return. She had a loving spirit and people felt they could trust and talk to her and she would always provide good advice.
She enjoyed passing down her knowledge and talent to her children and grandchildren, those of whom meant everything to her. Everyone who knew Donna knew of her tenacity and that when she set her mind to something she would work until she achieved it. She will continue to be and inspiration and idol to many.
“So when tomorrow starts without me don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart.” -David M. Romano
