A janitor with the Sheridan School District is recovering at a Missoula hospital after falling 25 feet from a ladder last week while working at a school.
A spokesperson for St. Patrick Hospital confirmed Tuesday that Shane Watts is in good condition.
Watts was injured after falling from a ladder on Nov. 28 while working at Sheridan Elementary School, according to Madison County Undersheriff Roger Thompson. Watts had climbed up a ladder he had placed against a flag pole. The ladder slipped from the pole and Watts fell about 25 feet to the ground, Thompson said.
The man was transported to an area hospital by ambulance and, later, taken by helicopter to St. Patrick Hospital. Thompson had no further information about the accident.
Superintendent Kim Harding said the school board is reviewing the incident and had no further comment.
