The Butte Community Ice Rink is holding a gun raffle, with all proceeds going to Butte youth hockey.

Tickets are $50 each and 1,500 tickets are available. Raffled guns include shotguns, handguns, and rifles, with an average $500 price. All winners must pass a background check. If unable to receive a gun, they will be given a $200 gift certificate

The raffle involves a drawing for a gun per week for one year, and each week, the winner’s name will be posted on the Copper City Kings website and Facebook page. The winner will also be notified and your name will be put back into the hat and can be drawn again.

To purchase a ticket, contact Glen Cunningham at J & C Auto, 406-490-2261, Bill LaVelle at LaVelle Equipment Repair, 406-490-4321, or Zanae Bates at 406-498-1877.

If your comment was removed or isn't appearing online, perhaps:

  1. You called someone an idiot, a racist, a dope, a moron, etc. Please, no name-calling or profanity (or veiled profanity -- #$%^&*).
  2. You rambled, failed to stay on topic or exhibited troll-like behavior intended to hijack the discussion at hand.
  3. YOU SHOUTED YOUR COMMENT IN ALL CAPS. This is hard to read and annoys readers.
  4. You have issues with a business. Have a bad meal? Feel you were overcharged at the store? New car is a lemon? Contact the business directly with your customer service concerns.
  5. You included an e-mail address or phone number, pretended to be someone you aren't or offered a comment that makes no sense.
