Want to help Butte’s less fortunate during the holidays? Consider the Mining City Christmas & Holiday Giving Program.

By adopting one of the families, a group or individual agrees to buy food and gifts or gifts only for the family for Christmas. Cash and gift donations also are appreciated to fill the wishes of families that have not been adopted.

Holiday Heartstrings’ listings will run in The Montana Standard through the holidays until the Dec. 15 adoption deadline. Here are three families for consideration:

1. A family with a 9-year-old girl wants a Monster High School Bike, needs socks (size 7), shirts and pants (size 14/16), boots (size 7), coat (size 14/16), and likes Monster High and Skopkins. A 3-year-old boy wants Hot Wheelz cars, needs socks, shirts, coat, pants and boots (size 2T), and likes Paw Patrol and Hot Wheelz. Reference #110

2. An 11-year-girl wants ice skates and porcelain dolls, needs shirts and pants (size XL child), socks (size 4-10), boots (size 10), coat size (XL child), and likes music. Reference #130

3. A family with a 13-year-old boy wants a basketball, needs a 24-inch bike tube, shirts and pants size 14/16, socks size 4-10, boots size 6.5 men’s, and coat size 14/16, and likes basketball stuff. A 10-year-old girl wants shoes (size 4), needs a helmet, shirts and pants (size 10/12), coat (size 10/12), socks (size 4), boots (size 4), and hair items. An 8-year-old girl wants a fidget spinner, needs a helmet, needs socks (size 2), shirts and pants (size 8), boots (size 2), coat (size 8), and likes L.O.L. toys. A 3-year-old girl wants a fidget spinner, needs a helmet, needs socks (size 11), shirts and pants (size 4T), boots (size 11), coat (size 4T), and likes babies. Reference #416
