James Robert “J.R.” Hollingsworth is back in jail after violating the conditions of his parole.
Hollingsworth had been serving time at the Butte Prerelease Center and wasn’t following the rules, police said. He was booked into jail Thursday at about 10 p.m.
Convicted of felony negligent homicide, Hollingsworth received a 10-year sentence with five years suspended to the Montana Department of Corrections and was sent to a screening center for placement. He was sentenced in district court on Oct. 24.
Hollingsworth was racing with another car and texting when he ran a red light at the intersection of Harrison and Roosevelt on Aug. 23, 2012. He crashed into another vehicle and killed a 74-year-old man.
