Police reports
Domestic assault I
A Butte man reportedly went into a rage at his ex-girlfriend’s house Monday night, hitting her in the face, breaking a chair and window and throwing and shattering a flower pot before taking off.
He could have avoided jail since the woman didn’t call police for that, but they were called when he returned later and kicked his way inside.
Police arrested Taylor James Wright, 26, for felony burglary and misdemeanor complaints of partner/family member assault, criminal mischief and tampering with a communication device.
The woman said she was asleep in a house in the 200 block of Ohio Street earlier Monday night and awoke to find Wright, an ex-boyfriend, inside. He struck her in the face several times, she said, and broke several things before leaving.
Police said they were called when Wright returned shortly after 11 p.m., kicked in the back door, grabbed the phone from the victim and threw it outside. When officers arrived, they found him in a bedroom and cuffed him.
He was still in jail as of late Tuesday morning with no bond set yet.
Domestic assault II
Police say a man got into an argument with his girlfriend while having cocktails at a bar then took it to another level when they got home.
Officers responded to the domestic disturbance in the 2900 block of Bartlett Street early Tuesday morning and arrested Robert John Rajala, 37, for felony parter/family member assault resulting in minor injuries.
The victim said Rajala punched her in the left side of her face, bruising her cheek, and pulled her hair before police arrived. He was still behind bars late Tuesday morning.
Domestic assault III
Police were called about a disturbance in the 600 block of Colorado Street shortly after midnight Monday and heard a woman inside a house scream, “Help me! Help me please!”
An officer kicked in the door and arrested Brandon Kenneth Dagen, 27. Furniture had been knocked over and the woman said she feared for her life because Dagen wouldn’t let her call police.
He was booked at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday for misdemeanor partner/family member assault and was still in jail late Tuesday morning with no bond set.
