Two men jumped out of a pickup truck Thursday night and assaulted a man outside a residence on the 300 block of West Granite Street, according to police.
The victim, who refused medical treatment, told police that a third person was driving the pickup when it pulled up around 8:30 p.m. The driver stayed put, but the other two jumped out and kicked and punched the victim.
The victim knew one of the assailants, police said, and police expected to seek a warrant for the man's arrest on Friday.
FIGHTING WITH MOM
Police arrested a 16-year-old male after he got into a physical fight with his mother at a home on the 1900 block of Dewey Boulevard early Thursday night.
Police often take minors to their parents or guardians after being cited for criminal behavior, but in this case, the teen was taken to a juvenile detention center in Great Falls.
WALKING IN TRAFFIC
A caller reported a man walking in traffic lanes on Interstate 15-90 near the Harrison Avenue interchange shortly before noon Thursday.
Police didn’t find anyone there but said Michael Vincent Allen Berg, 24, of Butte was walking in and out of traffic on Harrison Avenue shortly after the first incident. He was told to stop but minutes later was seen in traffic again, so officers arrested him on a misdemeanor complaint of disorderly conduct. He was still in jail Friday morning with bond set at $185.
